Refund and cancellation policy
Draft updated 23 September 2026
In short: Refund and cancellation responsibility depends on the named seller, payee, lender, and payment route. Kardel does not provide escrow.
Payment records and recipients
Browsing, saving vehicles, messaging, and submitting an application do not themselves charge you. An enabled invoice, payment instruction, cash receipt, or hosted checkout must be read with the written transaction terms identifying the legal payee, amount, and payment provider.
Kardel does not hold an escrow balance. A submitted receipt, payment proof, or return from checkout is not a confirmed payment; use the recorded payment status and the payee's receipt.
Cancellation and refunds
Before any payment, obtain the full price and mandatory charges, receipt, delivery terms, and written cancellation and refund rules for that transaction. These rules should name the party who receives and returns the money, the request channel, and any lawful deduction or deadline.
Withdrawing a vehicle or financing application on Kardel does not itself cancel a sale, loan, layaway, or installment agreement or issue a refund. Contact the named party to the agreement and retain your records.
No standard paluwagan contribution, withdrawal, or refund rules are published yet. Do not contribute on the basis of these general terms; obtain a separate written agreement and named operator first.
Consumer rights remain available
This is not a blanket no-return, no-exchange, or no-refund policy. Applicable remedies for defective goods, misrepresentation, and other breaches remain available under Philippine consumer law and any other mandatory law that applies.
Nothing here excludes duties that the law places on Kardel as a platform. A report to a seller is not a waiver of a complaint to DTI or another competent authority.
Charges requiring separate terms
Any Kardel charge or new payment arrangement requires disclosed pricing, cancellation and refund conditions, a named responsible party, and a working support channel before payment is requested. This draft does not authorise an undisclosed charge.
