Cookie policy
Draft updated 3 October 2026
In short: Choose whether Kardel may use site and listing analytics and stream the external homepage film. Optional features are off until you allow them.
Cookie settings
Essential storage is always on. Optional choices apply to this browser for up to 180 days. Rejecting them does not limit browsing or applications.
Essential storage
Authentication cookies and related security or session storage support sign-in, session recovery, recognised devices, and invitation handling. A guest application draft token can keep an unfinished application available until its stated expiry. Active shop and financing-partner choices can be remembered for up to 90 days; a recognised-device cookie can last up to 400 days. Language and dismissed-notice choices can last up to one year.
The kardel.privacy.v2 local-storage value and matching kardel_privacy_v2 cookie remember your optional-feature choices for up to 180 days so the browser and server can apply them. These preferences do not themselves turn analytics on.
These functions are separate from optional analytics. Blocking all browser storage may prevent sign-in or saving preferences.
Agent referral links
Opening an agent referral link creates kardel_agent_referral and kardel_agent_referral_destination cookies for up to 30 days to carry the referral through sign-in. This is separate from listing analytics and is not controlled by its switch.
The necessity, consent basis, and disclosure of agent access before attribution are still under review. This referral storage should not be treated as part of the general sign-in requirement.
Optional site and listing analytics
For listing interest counts, kardel.analytics-session.v1 stores a first-party view-session token in local storage. Listing views are sent to Kardel’s API; this is not an advertising pixel. The token can remain in storage until you clear it or withdraw consent, with server validity managed separately.
The kardel_attribution cookie lasts up to 31 days and carries a signed coarse acquisition category. It is created and read only when your choice permits analytics. Withdrawing consent prevents its further use, and the next request through the marketplace proxy clears an existing attribution cookie.
For site research, kardel_traffic is a SameSite, HttpOnly first-party session cookie with a maximum 30-minute lifetime. It supports page journeys, scroll depth, coarse click areas, visible time, and online presence. The session is account-linked only while signed in. No cross-device identifier, message text, form value, or search query is recorded.
A new site-analytics choice is required because the older notice covered listing views only. Declining or withdrawing consent removes the listing token and clears the research session cookie on the next collector request. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control suppress site research. Historical research records remain subject to the 30-day maintenance retention and data-request process.
Optional external video
The homepage film is served by Mux only after external-video consent. Mux receives network connection information needed for streaming. Its player tracking is disabled. Without consent, the existing still image remains.
Google-hosted Material Symbols currently makes a font request when the page loads. Google sign-in makes additional requests when chosen. These connections are disclosed separately from cookies; the optional switches do not block the icon-font request.
Change your choice
Use Cookie settings here at any time. Accepting and rejecting optional features require the same number of steps. Analytics and external media can be selected separately.
Choices apply to this browser, not automatically to other devices. Clearing storage, expiry, or a new consent version can prompt another choice. If storage is unavailable, choices last only for the current page session.
